ADMISSION
Our admission policy is on a fair system
EMPLOYMENT
The GetWise management will consider all applicants on their individual merits and will appoint, in their view, the most suitable person. No applicant will be rejected on the grounds of age, gender, sexuality, class, means, family status, disability, colour, ethnic origin, culture, religion or belief.
EMPLOYEES
All staff will be made aware of the GetWise Equality and Diversity Policy during their induction training and will receive regular training updates and assessments to ensure that they fully understand, agree and comply with it. Individual cases and concerns will be discussed at regular team meetings and additional support provided to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and with respect.
FAMILIES
GetWise recognises that many different types of family successfully love and care for children.
CURRICULUM
All the children will be respected for their individuality and potential and they will be valued and nurtured. Activities and the use of equipment offer the children opportunities to develop in an environment free from prejudice and discrimination. Opportunities will be given to the children to explore, acknowledge and value similarities and differences between themselves and others. Resources will be chosen to give the children a balanced view of the world and materials will be selected to help the children to develop their self-respect and to respect other people.
SPECIAL NEEDS
GetWise recognises the wide range of special needs of children and families and will consider what part it can play in meeting these needs.
DISCRIMINATORY BEHAVIOUR
Discriminatory behaviour is unacceptable. Our response will be sensitive to the feelings of the recipient and to help those responsible to understand and overcome their prejudices. Every member of staff and person coming into contact with us will be treated with respect at all times.
FOOD
Medical, cultural and dietary needs will be met.
