£35 per person - One Day Bushcraft Basics Summer Holiday Club!

This one day course is designed as a great introduction to bushcraft skills and is ideal for all up to the age of 16. We’ll be setting off on the 5 minute walk into the heart of our woods at 9.15am and will be back at the car park by 4pm. Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be supplied to keep you going but you’ll nee to bring a packed lunch.

Our instructors can cover the full range of topics but will go at your pace and work to your needs, so don’t feel that you need to complete the entire list of subject areas on your first outing! Why not book in for more than one session so that you can build up a comprehensive range of skills?

We’ll be looking at and using tools:

• Bushcraft knife

• Hand Axe

• Bow saw

• Two person cross cut saw

And fire lighting:

• Bow drill (fire by friction)

• Fire steel

• Storm/Kelly Kettle

And shelter building:

• A-frame using natural materials

• Quick canvas shelter

And country life:

• Tree identification

• Wild food foraging

And games!

You could be taking home some great souvenirs, such as a musical instrument, a mallet, your own bushcraft cutlery and some fantastic memories!
