AALA Licence

AALA License

Currently GetWise does not require a direct Adventurous Activities License as issued by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority (www.aals.org.uk).

GetWise staff operate within the bounds of activities that are outside the license scope. For example, our hill walking is carried out below 600m altitude and our kayaking is carried out on flat, enclosed water.

When ever GetWise activities require us to operate under AALA license, we ensure that the relevant experienced, qualified and licensed individuals or organisations are enlisted to manage and run the activity. For example, white water kayaking - passed to AALA registered BCU approved coach of Level 3 or higher.
